G3 Pro: the green laser pointer for when it really matters

The G3 Pro is the green laser pointer we recommend most often, and it is the Pro model our customers choose most. It pairs the most visible laser colour – green at 532 nm – with an aluminium body, a rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion cell and a key lock. The result is a laser you can trust on a cold evening in the field, on a building site, or on a stargazing night that runs later than planned.

The output is up to 1 mW, laser class 2 (EN 60825-1): the class intended for sale to the public in the UK. Every G3 Pro is measured before dispatch. That is a deliberate choice. A class 2 green laser shows a bright dot over long distances at dusk and in the dark, which is all you need for pointing, stargazing and bird control, without the eye risk of higher-power lasers.

Battery and charging

The G3 Pro runs on one 18650 lithium-ion battery, supplied together with a PowerFox charger: you take the battery out of the laser and charge it in the charger. Charge it fully before first use; with normal use a charge lasts at least about a month, depending on how often you point. For long nights out, a spare is handy: you can add a PowerFox 18650 2-pack to your order, and a second PowerFox charger lets you top up from a laptop or power bank. Store the laser with the key removed, and keep the cell out of extreme heat.

G3 Pro, G1 Pro or G2 Pro?

The G1 Pro is the same laser with a removable pattern lens and 1 cm more length; those are the only differences, as the G3 Pro has no pattern lens. Safety

Use the safety keys: remove the key when the laser is stored, especially in a household with children. Never aim at eyes, people, animals' eyes, vehicles or aircraft, and never across a road or near an airfield. Watch out for windows, water and metal that can reflect the beam.
