Compact rechargeable red laser pointer, 11.2 cm
The R2 Pro is our smallest red laser pointer: 11.2 centimetres of aluminium with a rechargeable 16340 lithium-ion cell. It is built for people who carry a laser every day and want it to disappear in a pocket – consultants, trainers, teachers who move between classrooms, sales people with a pitch deck.
It is a Starlight Lasers model with an output up to 1 mW, laser class 2 – the class intended for sale to the public in the UK. Each unit is measured before dispatch, and the charger is included.
Red is calm and clear on a projector screen. For presenting tips, see laser pointers for presentations.
Indicative: depends on the light, the weather and the surface.

The 16340 cell is what keeps the R2 Pro so short. Charge it in the supplied PowerFox charger before first use; the battery comes out of the laser to charge. With normal use a charge lasts at least about a month. An extra PowerFox 16340 2-pack is a smart addition for long training days, and a second PowerFox charger lets you charge from a laptop.
Need a key lock or the larger 18650 cell? Choose the R1 Pro. Want the simplest red pen on AAA batteries? The M1. Need more visibility outdoors? A green laser such as the compact G2 Pro is much brighter to the eye. Compare on rechargeable red laser pointers.
Because the R2 Pro has no key lock, store it out of reach of children. Never aim the laser at eyes, people, animals' eyes, vehicles or aircraft, and be careful with mirrors, glass and water that can reflect the beam. Keep it out of reach of children – it is a tool, not a toy, and you must be 18 or over to order. Shining a laser at a vehicle or aircraft is a criminal offence in the UK. Read laser pointer safety before first use.
