V1 Pro Violet Laser Pointer

V1 Pro: the violet laser pointer in Pro quality

The V1 Pro brings the unusual 405 nm violet colour into our full-size Pro body. You get a blue-purple dot that makes glow-in-the-dark and fluorescent materials light up, combined with an aluminium housing, a rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion cell, a charger and two safety keys.

The output is up to 1 mW, laser class 2 – the class intended for sale to the public in the UK – and every V1 Pro is measured before dispatch.

Why choose violet in a Pro?

• Collectors and enthusiasts who already own a green and a red Pro and want the set complete. The Pro set gives you all three at once.
• Light play on glow paper, glow-in-the-dark stars or fluorescent ink, in a dark room.
• Households with children who want a violet laser that can be locked with a key and kept on a high shelf.

Be realistic about range: the eye is not very sensitive to violet, so the dot looks dimmer than green or red and does not carry as far. For distance or astronomy, choose the G3 Pro.

Specifications

Charging

Charge the 18650 battery in the supplied PowerFox charger before first use; it charges outside the laser. With normal use one charge lasts at least about a month. An extra PowerFox 18650 2-pack fits the V1 Pro, and a second PowerFox charger charges it from any mains socket. Store the laser with the safety key removed.

Other violet options

The compact V2 Pro is 11.2 cm long with a 16340 cell but no key lock; the Z1 is the violet pen on AAA batteries. Compare them on rechargeable violet laser pointers.

Safety

Use the safety keys whenever the laser is stored. Never aim the laser at eyes, people, animals' eyes, vehicles or aircraft, and be careful with mirrors, glass and water that can reflect the beam. Keep it out of reach of children – it is a tool, not a toy, and you must be 18 or over to order. Shining a laser at a vehicle or aircraft is a criminal offence in the UK. Read laser pointer safety before first use.
